Fromage Frenzy 2: Chīzu No Katamari

The  ̶h̶i̶g̶h̶l̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶t̶i̶c̶i̶p̶a̶t̶e̶d̶  sequel to Fromage Frenzy is here! No more racing, but rolling down an endless hill. Pick up cheese segments to grow, or use cheese graters to shrink, all while avoiding or smashing through obstacles and collecting crackers for points. How far can you roll?

Thoughts from Development

This was my first experience using the Unreal Engine, and oh boy do I not understand the love for it. The engine itself is... lacking, compared to Unity, to say the least. Blueprints took some getting used to but aren't that bad.

Grade: First (89%)

Key Features

  • "Treadmill" style movement - The game moves under the player so there aren't floating-point issues

  • Pooling for everything from track segments to pickups

  • Random generated track segments for truly endless runner

  • Music and audio effects
